Welcome to LaneQuest (the "App", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our platform, including our mobile application, web interface, and interactive community features.

By creating an account, browsing, or posting content on the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account Creation and Eligibility

Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. (In certain regions, local laws may require you to be older to consent to data processing without parental approval).

Account Integrity: You must provide accurate, complete information. You cannot impersonate someone else, create accounts for anyone other than yourself, or use a username that violates trademark rights.

Security: You are responsible for keeping your password safe. You agree not to sell, license, or transfer your account, username, or followers to anyone else.

2. Intellectual Property & Your Content Rights

We do not claim ownership of your photos, videos, captions, or comments. Instead, you grant us the permissions necessary to make the app work.

Your Ownership: You retain all copyrights and rights to the visual and text content you upload.

Our License: When you share, post, or upload a photo, video, or story, you grant LaneQuest a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to host, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, and translate your content.

Stopping the License: This license ends when you delete your content from our system, or when you delete your account. However, content may continue to appear if it was reshared by other users before you deleted it.

3. Privacy, Feeds, and Personalization

Account Privacy: We offer both public and private profiles. If your account is set to "Public," anyone can view, search for, or share your content across the platform. If set to "Private," only approved followers can view your posts.

Algorithmic Personalization: To provide an engaging experience, we use automated algorithms to organize your feed, recommend content, highlight trends, and suggest accounts to follow based on your interactions.

Ads and Sponsored Content: You agree that we may show you advertisements, promotions, and sponsored content. We do not pay you for showing these ads on or alongside your content.

4. Community Guidelines and Prohibited Conduct

To keep the community safe, you agree not to post content or engage in behavior that:

Violates Rights: Infringes upon anyone else's intellectual property rights (e.g., uploading photos or videos you did not take or don't have permission to use).

Harasses or Bullying: Includes hate speech, harassment, stalking, defamation, body-shaming, or targeted abuse.

Is Explicit or Dangerous: Contains graphic violence, illegal activities, or explicit nudity (with exceptions made for historical, artistic, or educational contexts).

Is Automated: Uses bots, scrapers, or automation to create accounts, mass-follow, mass-like, or artificially manipulate engagement metrics.

5. Content Removal and Account Enforcement

Our Right to Remove: We reserve the right to remove any content you post if we believe it violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or if we are legally required to do so.

Account Disabling: If you repeatedly violate our guidelines or intellectual property policies, we may temporarily suspend or permanently disable your account without notice.

Reporting Violations: If you believe content on our platform violates your copyright, please report it via our dedicated copyright notice pathway at support@lanequest.com.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

"As-Is" Service: We work hard to provide a stable, safe app, but the Service is provided "AS IS." We do not guarantee the app will always be secure, error-free, or function without disruptions.

Third-Party Interactions: We are not responsible for the actions, content, or behavior of other users, whether online or offline. If you choose to meet a user in person or buy an item from a link in their bio, you do so entirely at your own risk.

Liability Limit: To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaneQuest will not be liable for any lost profits, revenue, information, or data, or incidental or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app.

7. Changes to the Agreement

We may change these Terms as our features evolve. We will give you at least 30 days notice before making material changes, giving you the opportunity to review them before they take effect. If you continue using the app after the updates go live, you agree to the new Terms.
